Elephant Seals

Science - Biology
Students are introduced to the evolutionary history and adaptations of the northern elephant seals at a State Reserve via a video conference with a state park ranger.

Don't Forget to Schedule this years PORTS Video Conference with the Elephant Seals.

Next meeting of the CTAP IV Video Conference Users Group


The next meeting of the Video Conference Users Group on October 26, 2006 3:30 to 5:00 will feature two short presentation, a time for us to share ideas and ask questions and an introduction to a group project you may want to join. Our first guest will be from the Baseball Hall of Fame who will let us know about resources and workshops the have available for interactive videoconferencing. Then Katy Tobler will an eighth grade teacher from Fallbrook Union ESD, who teaches two classes of video conferencing. Her students don't only use it but they provide content that can be delivered to other classes. She'd also would love to partner with northern California teachers. I've attached the login information for the Oct 26 workshop. Let me know if you will be dialing in and/or can share your site with others. At this point we have the Alameda, Contra Costa and Marin County Offices of Education available for viewing.

If you don't have the Polycom available for that day we will have a live web cast of the event with the ability to ask question via chat.
